Job Announcement:

Project Manager
Overtown Real Estate Development

Focused and energetic person with applicable skills of Commercial and Residential Real Estate Development & Construction Project Management. Person must be able to implement and complete multiple projects in Overtown (Historic African American community near downtown) Miami, Florida by working in a collaborative, shared role. Role includes part time service to assist directors and staff of two Community Development Corporations (CDC) and one Community Based Organization (CBO) to complete various real estate production projects over a 12 to 18 month period, beginning immediately.

Person must be able to commit to and be compensated for results achieved, including:

• Obtain remaining written commitments from government funders and investors; ensuring adequate timing of payments to sustain project budgets;
  
• Achieve architectural plan design completion on time and within budget;
  
• Enable construction start and progress on time;
  
• Get project completion certifications and close outs on time and within budget;
  
• Achieve high degree of satisfaction from CDC and CBO director and staff in your management of all projects
  

Key traits and dispositions required:

• Sufficient energy and enthusiasm, with a positive outlook and a good sense of humor;
  
• Willingness to take personal responsibility for targeting and achieving results that ensure timely progress;
  
• Inclined to teams and collaboration; able to delegate successfully
  
• The skill to focus on and communicate needed results to others, with an ability to motivate them to succeed in a compressed timeframe;
  
• Ability to see the greater community good and comprehensive value expected for Overtown residents by these projects, leading to greater insight and opportunity for additional and ongoing collaboration of community impacts by these three organizations.
  

Services will be acquired by Greater Miami LISC and negotiated on independent contractor basis for immediate implementation, with encouragement for full time employment after successful progress and achieved customer satisfaction.
