Converting Existing Florida
Corporation to an LLC

In Florida corporations can be converted to and LLC largely by filing one form with the Department of State.  This procedure automatically transfers the corporation's assets and liabilities to the new LLC.  Only one business entity is involved, and there is no need to separately form an LLC or dissolve the corporation before the conversion takes place.  The corporation is simply considered to continue its existence in the form of an LLC.
