Survivors include his son, James Bryan Thurmond Jr. of Fort Valley; sister, Ann Aultman of Homosassa Springs, FL; granddaughters, Jennifer Brooke Carbajal of Warner Robins and Laurie Beth Thurmond of Fort Valley; great-granddaughter, Georgia Hope Carbajal of Warner Robins; and a nephew, Jimmy Tate of Highlands, NC. The family may be contacted at the residence of Bryan Thurmond, 315 West Church Street in Fort Valley. Rooks Funeral Home in Fort Valley is in charge of arrangements.
